Gov. Andrew Cuomo has announced the state is opening five new drive-through testing facilities in Broome, Monroe, Erie, Niagara and Oneida counties.

On Saturday, the state expanded diagnostic testing criteria to include all first responders, healthcare workers and essential employees even if they weren’t symptomatic. These individuals will be able to get tested for COVID-19 at the new drive-through facilities.

Residents who would like to be tested at these facilities must make an appointment by calling 888-364-3065 or online at www.covid19screening.health.ny.gov.

Cuomo did not provide any information about the location or operational hours of the center in Broome County.
