A Unadilla man has been extradited back to New York from Texas after being charged with first degree rape.
According to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, 44-year-old Chad Walters allegedly forcibly raped an incapacitated female at her home in Sidney last July.
A warrant for Walters’ arrested was issued in Delaware County Court in January.
Walters was taken into custody in San Antonio on July 9th without incident. He was arraigned in Delaware County Court on Friday and remanded on $50,000 cash bail.
He could face up to 25 years in state prison if convicted.
