Union man facing drug, weapons charges

A Town of Union man is facing multiple felony drug and weapons charges after a search warrant was executed by the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force.

The SIU executed a warrant on an apartment on Donald Street in Union on May 9.

According to police, approximately 3.4 grams of cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials, cutting agents, a .45 caliber revolver and a 9mm handgun were located in the apartment.

Following an investigation, 35-year-old Gary W. Lanzo was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second and third degrees, as well as related misdemeanor charges.

Lanzo was remanded to the Broome County Jail.
