There will be a running and walking festival for senior citizens this Saturday, September 8th in Vestal. The event will be at the Coal House Café on the Vestal Rail Trail at 204 Stage Road. Open to anyone 55 years or older, the Seniors Running and Walking Festival includes people of all abilities, those who are fast or slow, walk or run, use a cane, a wheelchair, and even those needing someone to push their wheelchair. This “festival” is a celebration of older adults’ abilities, health and well-being. Over 125 older adults, including 15 who are 80 years and older, have already signed up. All events will be held concurrently. The event begins at 8:30AM.
