The race for Johnson City mayor is finally over after a recount was completed on Thursday morning.
Democrat Christina Charuk was declared the winner over incumbent Republican Martin Meaney.
Charuk ended up winning the race by 11 votes following the recount.
Meaney held a slim lead after the election day votes were counted, but the outstanding affidavit and absentee ballots broke for Charuk.
