Longtime Tioga County Legislator Martha Sauerbrey will wrap up decades of service this week.
Sauerbrey has spent 20 years representing District 2 of the Tioga County Legislature.
For the past 12 years, she has served as the Legislature’s Chairwoman.
During her time in the Legislature, Sauerbrey helped lead the county through two major floods and a pandemic, while also helping bring in funding to help the area thrive.
Prior to entering the political field, Sauerbrey ran the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce for 15 years.
Sauerbrey will retire at the end of the year as she looks to spend more time with family.
