New York State will hold a free fishing day this weekend.
People across New York will be able to hit the water on Saturday with no freshwater fishing license required.
While no license will be required, all other fishing regulations remain in effect.
The New York DEC offers free clinics, fishing guides and even a rod-lending program at participating libraries to help people get started.
