Newark Valley man arrested after allegedly firing gun during road rage incident

A Newark Valley man was arrested after an alleged road-rage related shooting in Endwell.

According to the New York State Police, 23-year-old Bradley Keith Scymanski III was charged with felony counts of attempted assault- intent to cause serious injury with a weapon, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal use of a firearm, possessing a loaded deadly weapon and reckless endangerment.

The shooting occurred at around 2:17 p.m. on Wednesday. A road-rage incident took place between the driver of an SUV and the driver of a sedan near the 2800 block of East Main Street in the Town of Union.

The driver of the sedan, later identified as Scymanski, shot at the SUV.

No injuries were reported from the incident.

The suspect was arrested later that day and remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail.
