The public will have an opportunity to make their voices heard about NYSEG’s request to raise its rates.
The New York State Public Service Commission will be holding a series of public hearings over the next month. There will be both in person and virtual options for the public.
NYSEG is looking to raise its base electricity delivery revenue by 35 percent and its natural gas revenues by nearly 40 percent starting in the spring.
A pair of hearings will be held at Binghamton City Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 1 and 6 pm. Two virtual sessions will be held at 1 and 6 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
