A non-profit organization is teaming up with Binghamton University to expand support for local ALS families.
Shady Strong and the Speech-Language Pathology Department at Binghamton University are joining forces.
The partnership will provide speech therapy support, assistance with assistive communication devices, voice banking resources and education and guidance for families navigating communication changes.
Shady Strong provides both financial and emotional support to individuals battling ALS and their families.
The organization’s 5th annual BBQ Competition and Music Festival will be held on Saturday, July 11 at the Bement Billings Farmstead in Newark Valley.
Visitors will enjoy a day of BBQ, music, local vendors and much more.
