A South Carolina man was convicted of rape in Broome County Court on Monday.
According to the Broome County District Attorney’s Office, 31-year-old Matthew I. Hall was found guilty of rape in the first degree.
The conviction is connected to an assault in the City of Binghamton in October of 2024.
Hall engaged in sexual contact with another person who was incapable of consent due to being physically helpless.
He will be sentenced in March and could face up to 25 years in state prison.
