A Van Etten home was destroyed by a fire on New Year’s Day.
The fire started at around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday on Murray Street in Van Etten.
No one was home at the time of the fire, but several pets were lost in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
