The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit and run motor vehicle accident in which a vehicle struck a 12 year-old pedestrian causing non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle is described as a grey, possibly dark grey, pick-up truck which sustained damage to the passenger side mirror. The vehicle was travelling south on Pennsylvania Avenue near St. Margaret Mary Church between Barton Road and Van Riper Road in Apalachin at about 6 PM on August 20th. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 607-687-1010.
