With students heading back to school today, the Owego Apalachin School District is reminding motorists to watch out for school buses and students.
Drivers should remember that it is illegal to pass a school bus with red flashing lights on, no matter what side of the road you are on.
The school district is also reminding students of some simple safety rules when it comes to getting on and off the bus, including crossing in front of the bus and never behind it.
