Owego Free Academy (OFA) has partnered with Alliance Masonry Corp. to provide students in its Building Trades program with invaluable hands-on experience in vertical masonry. This partnership will allow students to work directly with skilled professionals from Alliance Masonry, a leading company specializing in commercial masonry, concrete, and stonework in the Upstate New York area.

The collaboration aims to introduce students to the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in masonry, focusing on vertical masonry techniques. As part of the program, students will engage in real-world projects, learning how to install and work with various masonry materials. These skills will prove essential as the students prepare for the workforce and gain experience in one of the construction industry’s most vital sectors.

“We’re excited to partner with Alliance Masonry to provide our students with an opportunity to learn from one of the best in the business,” said Michael Daly, CTE Coordinator at Owego Free Academy. “This hands-on experience will give our students the practical skills they need to thrive in the construction industry.”

Alliance Masonry has been a trusted name in the industry since 2007. It is known for its dedication to quality work and safety. The company’s experience spans a variety of projects, from structural concrete to intricate stonework, and its team of experts is excited to mentor the next generation of masonry professionals.

The partnership between Owego Free Academy and Alliance Masonry is a powerful example of how local businesses and educational institutions can collaborate to create opportunities for students, helping them build a foundation for successful careers in construction and masonry.
