One person was killed and two others injured in a car accident in Tioga County over the weekend.
According to the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office, the two-car accident occurred at around 1:33 p.m. on Saturday on State Route 79 in the Town of Richford.
The driver of one vehicle was killed in the crash. A passenger in that car and the driver of the other car were taken to the hospital.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Tioga County Sheriff’s Crash Investigation and Drone Units, Richford Fire Department, Berkshire Fire Department, Maine EMS, New York State Police and the New York State Department of Transportation.
