One person was killed in a car vs. motorcycle accident in Tioga County over the weekend.
According to the New York State Police, the accident occurred just after noon on Saturday on Owego Road in the Town of Candor.
An SUV was traveling south and the motorcycle was heading north on Owego Road at the time of the crash. Police said the SUV was making a left turn when it struck the motorcycle.
The person operating the motorcycle was taken to the Robert Packer Hospital where they later passed away from their injuries.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
The driver of the SUV was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
