One person was killed and another was injured after a tractor trailer and motorcycle collided on State Route 17 eastbound near the Town of Owego on Thursday afternoon.
According to the New York State Police, the crash occurred at around 1 p.m. and one fatality was confirmed.
The accident forced State Route 17 to be closed between Exits 65 and 67. As of 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, the roadway was back open to traffic.
The injured victim was taken to the Wilson Medical Center for treatment. Police did not go into detail on the extent of the injuries.
No further information was provided by the New York State Police.
