An Owego home was destroyed by a fire on Friday night.
The fire started at around 5:40 p.m. on Fox Street.
Three people and two pets were inside the home when firefighters arrived. All people and animals were able to make it out safely and there were no injuries reported from the incident.
The fire started in the garage and spread to the rest of the home.
The fire was well controlled within one hour, with a total of 35 firefighters responding.
The Owego Fire Department was assisted by the Campville and Apalachin Fire Departments along with Owego EMS, NYSEG and Tioga County Fire Investigation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
