Owego man facing charges for allegedly making guns with 3-D printer

An Owego man is facing multiple felony charges after he allegedly made handguns with a 3-D printer.

According to the New York State Police, 54-year-old John Standish had multiple 3-D printed pistols and accessories along with silencers and high-capacity magazines in his home.

Police said the discovery was made while troopers were investigating another matter.

Standish does not have a pistol permit.

He is facing four felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon, and one misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a weapon.
