Area heroes will be featured as the Owego Apalachin Central School District wraps up its SOARing Hawks Summer Enrichment Camps this coming week.
As part of “Superhero Week,” participants will gather behind Owego Elementary School from 9 to 11:30 a.m. to learn more about different emergency services and check out their vehicles.
Monday, Aug. 11: EMS Day with Owego EMS, Apalachin EMS, Tioga County Ambulance Service, and Guthrie Air.
Tuesday, Aug. 12: Fire Day with Owego, Campville and Apalachin fire departments.
Wednesday, Aug. 13: Police Day with the Owego Police Department, Tioga County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police.
Thursday, Aug. 14: DPW and DOT Day with Owego Department of Public Works and the New York State Department of Transportation.
Friday, Aug. 15: Carnival Day featuring a fun-filled celebration for all campers.
Activities are open to SOARing Hawks Summer Enrichment Program campers only and presentations could change depending on weather and emergency calls.
