The Tioga County Public Health Director, Lisa McCafferty, is inviting the public to participate in a public health emergency training exercise. Tioga County is required to conduct a Point of Dispensing drill to test how effectively the county can vaccinate in the event of a communicable disease outbreak. The County is asking the community to assist in the drill by pre-registering and walking through the simulated clinic to receive a fake Hepatitis A vaccination. The County needs representation from all members of the community including senior citizens, children, pregnant women and individuals with disabilities. The POD will take place today from 11 to 1 at the Valley Presbyterian Church, 459 Park Ave. in Waverly.
