The Tioga County community is rallying around a Newark Valley firefighter who was seriously injured in an accident last week.
Jared Martin was air-lifted to a Rochester hospital after he fell out of a bucket truck on Thursday in Owego.
The accident has left Martin in critical condition with a long road to recovery.
According to the Newark Valley Fire Department, Martin is not only a firefighter but also a driver for Maine EMS.
A spaghetti dinner benefit will be held in support of Martin and his family on Monday, Dec. 1.
The fundraiser will be held from 5 to 8 pm at the Owego Moose Lodge. The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and under.
