Tioga County Public Health conducted a table top drill on Tuesday to practice their vaccine administering capabilities. If there was a disease outbreak, or Public Health emergency, they would set up point of dispensing locations to give you medicine to prevent you from getting sick. Preparedness Coordinator Emily Warfle facilitated the exercise providing different scenarios that the staff had to react to and demonstrate how they would handle the situation based on their role. Tioga County Public Health will be conducting a full scale disease outbreak exercise April 26th from 11am-1pm at the Valley United Presbyterian Church in Waverly, NY. County residents are encouraged to come and pretend to be patients to see how a disease outbreak will be addressed in a real situation.
