On the morning of January 28, the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of an overturned vehicle on Lisle Road near Patton Road in the Town of Owego. Deputies and members of the Campville Fire Department responded to the scene and determined the vehicle’s
operator and sole occupant, 80-year old June Catena, of Alpha, New Jersey, was deceased.
Members of the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit responded to the scene and performed further investigation. The investigation revealed that Catena was traveling north on Lisle Road when the vehicle lost control, left the west shoulder of the roadway and overturned onto the passenger’s side.
The investigation is still active; however, no other vehicles are believed to be involved. The Campville Fire Department and the Town of Owego Highway Department
assisted the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
