Tioga County Public Health unveiled its new Tioga Smiles Dental Mobile Van on Tuesday at the county office building in Owego. The health department retired its old mobile dental unit … thanks to an upgrade. Through the help of many sources, the department was able to purchase a brand new, customized mobile dental unit complete with modern dental equipment. For the past 15 years, Tioga Smiles Mobile Dental has been serving the entire Tioga County community travelling from school-to-school throughout the year. In the old mobile dental unit over 15 years, staff was able to complete over 18,000 screenings and 26,000 dental cleanings.
