The Tioga County Tourism Office will host an Open House on March 1for the new Visitor Center at The Gateway Building on Front Street in Owego. The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. and the open house continues until 8 p.m. that day. The Visitor Center is located at the back of the first floor of the building overlooking a large deck, the Owego Riverwalk, and the Susquehanna River. The Open House coincides with Owego’s First Friday a monthly event where shops stay open later, some restaurants have entertainment, and extra activities take place throughout the shopping district.
