The two victims from the fatal crash on Interstate 86 on Monday have been identified.
According to the New York State Police, 45-year-old Reading, Pennsylvania resident Frank Dempaire and 45-year-old Newark, New Jersey resident Elize Carlos were both killed in the accident.
The victims were traveling on Interstate 86 East in the Town of Nichols when they were rear-ended by a tractor trailer just after 4:30 a.m. on Monday.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured in the crash.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
