A Waverly man was arrested after he allegedly led police on a high-speed chase through Sayre on July 19th.

According to police, 26-year-old Logan C. Dondero was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, evading arrest, driving while operating privilege suspended, reckless driving  and several related charges following the incident.

The chase started on Spring Street in Sayre when police noticed a man who was standing next to a motorcycle with no license plate. After initially struggling to start the bike and pushing it down the road, Dondero got it started and took off at a high rate of speed.

The motorcycle reached speeds over 100 miles per hour and the police officer in pursuit ended his chase due to the driver’s reckless driving.

Police received an anonymous tip indicating the driver of the motorcycle was Dondero and learned the suspect blew a tire and had parked the bike near the Robert Packer Hospital before going to his home in Waverly.

Dondero is currently being held at the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
