A hit-and-run accident in Ithaca on Friday night left a pedestrian with life threatening injuries.
According to the Ithaca Police Department, the accident occurred in the area of West Buffalo Street and Taughannock Boulevard at around 10:49 p.m. on Friday.
The driver left the scene of the accident before police arrived. No further information has been released about the driver or the vehicle involved in the incident.
The pedestrian was struck in the roadway and was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment.
