The Ithaca Police Department has arrested an Ithaca resident for allegedly attempting to break into homes on Wednesday morning.
Ithaca Police Officers responded to reports of a burglary on the 100 block of Stewart Ave. at 1 a.m. on Wednesday. When officers arrived, they located a suspect in the area.
According to police, 59-year-old Angel Arce was trying to break into another home when they arrived.
Arce has been charged with second degree attempted burglary, a Class D felony. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of criminal trespassing in the third degree.
