The Ithaca Police Department and the FBI are conducting a search for a weapon in the Cayuga Lake inlet. They did not locate their object on Thursday and will continue the search Friday. Police did not identify the crime that is associated to the search, but they did say that the crime has already been made public. The Corning Police also assisted in the search.
