Early Monday morning, State Troopers arrested 21-year-old Samantha Townsend on an outstanding bench warrant from the Cayuga County Court. The warrant was for a felony charge of Possession of a Forged Instrument. Townsend was located at an apartment in Ithaca. Upon arrest, drugs were found in her possession. She was given an appearance ticket on a misdemeanor charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. She was then transferred to State Police officers from Auburn to face her charges in Cayuga County.
