The State Police conducted a DWI checkpoint on Route 366 in Ithaca last Friday. 863 vehicles passed through the checkpoint and 62 vehicles were detained for further inspection. One person was charged with misdemeanor DWI; three people were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance; one person was arrested with brass knuckles. Two people were issued tickets for not wearing seatbelts. 22 people were issued tickets for vehicle and traffic violations.
