There were two serous incidents in Ithaca over the weekend that may be related. On Friday at about 3:11 AM the Ithaca Police responded to a report of an assault at South Cayuga Street and West Green Street. The victim stated that four people approached him and began to punch and kick him without provocation. The victim’s wallet was stolen. The male victim sustained significant injuries to his face and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Early Saturday morning, a man, walking in the Home Dairy Alley in Ithaca Commons was assaulted by a group of four people. The victim stated that he did not know the assailants and the attack was unprovoked. The victim had a significant laceration to his chest. He was transported to a local hospital.
The only description of the suspects being released at this time is that they are described as four black males. If you have any information, please contact the Ithaca Police Department.
