Two people were killed in a house fire in Tompkins County last week.
According to the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, the fire occurred at around 12:30 a.m. on Friday in the Village of Groton.
Firefighters responded to the Valley View Mobile Home Park. Two people were inside the home at the time of the fire.
First responders were able to remove one person through a window, but both individuals were killed during the incident.
The names of the victims have not been released.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
