Weis Markets made a major donation to help families dealing with food insecurity.
The company donated $35,000 to CHOW, the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse, which supplies a network of local food pantries across Broome County.
The donation was part of Weis Markets’ 18th annual Fight Hunger Campaign, which uses roundup donations from customers over a four-month period as well as a corporate donation.
Through its Fight Hunger Campaign, Weis has donated approximately $550,000 to 18 food pantries across seven states.
