A World War II Veteran celebrated his 100th birthday earlier this week.
George Harrington was honored during a party at the Vestal Senior Center on Monday.
Harrington served in the Navy during World War II. He aided with the Morse code communication system during his service.
In 2024, Harrington was inducted into the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame.
Harrington was recognized by the Town of Vestal, Broome County and New York State Senate on his 100th birthday.
