A Steuben County Grand Jury has indicted a Painted Post woman for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from two school organizations.
According to District Attorney Brooks Baker, 35-year-old Kari Warner allegedly stole more than $25,000 from the CSEA Union and $20,000 from the Calvin U. Smith Parent Teacher Association between August of 2024 and February of 2025.
Warner was arrested by New York State Police in February.
She has now been indicted on 30 criminal charges, including 18 counts of grand larceny.
At the time of her arrest Warner worked as a secretary in the Corning-Painted Post School District and served as treasurer of both the Union and PTA.
