The Friends of the Chemung River Watershed welcomed the community for its annual River Fest Sunday at Bottcher’s Landing Boat Launch in Big Flats.
The theme of this year’s event was Celebrating the River with water safety and recreation. Participants were able to enjoy the river on their kayaks, learn about safety, and check out vendors and live music.
Money raised through the event supports the nonprofit Friends of the Chemung River Watershed, which promotes area waterways along with an appreciation for natural resources.
