An Amber Alert issued for a missing 15-day-old baby was canceled Thursday evening, the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office announced. The alert for Gionna Harter, which was issued at 2:11 p.m., was canceled around 8:30 p.m. The child was located safely according to New York State Police. The baby’s mother, Katrina Harter, who is accused of abducting her daughter early Thursday, turned herself in to the Geneva Police Department. New York State Police issued an Amber Alert after the girl was allegedly abducted in Montour Falls about 5 a.m. Thursday. It is believed that the mother took the child to avoid service of a family court order that transfers custody to another party.
