Next week, Senator Fred Akshar will bring local school administrators together with local law enforcement agencies for the first in a series of round table discussions on current school security measures and to help identify and assess any additional needs to ensure the safety of students. After the initial roundtable with school administrators and law enforcement, Akshar plans on meeting with local teachers and students in the coming weeks as well. Due to the sensitive nature of the safety protocols being discussed, the event will not be open to the general public.
