A teacher and student from Sayre High School were recently selected to represent Pennsylvania in the second annual Young People’s Continental Congress this summer.
Teacher Jennifer Ameigh and student Sophia Hyatt will join 26 other student-teacher duos in Philadelphia in July for the event, which explores the history of American democracy.
Ameigh and Hyatt will complete online learning modules on Colonial American history this spring to prepare for the Young People’s Continental Congress.
