For the second time in as many days, a job fair was held in our area. The Southern Tier Independence Center held open interviews Thursday.The nonprofit is growing its support to disabled individuals by hiring Direct Support Professionals. This position provides individuals with direct one-on-one support in areas from social skills to cooking and cleaning–helping the disabled to become more independent.The Southern Tier Independence Center has been providing services to disabled members of the community for 35 years. The community habilitation department says they are continually hiring for this type of work.
