State Police have identified the 3-year-old boy found in Goodyear Lake in the town of Milford. Andrew Durkin was reported missing at about 2:54 PM on Sunday. The child was later located by the New York State Police Underwater Recovery Team off a residential dock on Goodyear Lake. Resuscitation efforts were attempted, and the child was transported to A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta, where he was pronounced dead. The Otsego County Sheriff’s Department, K9’s from the New York State Police and the Otsego County Sheriff’s Department, Milford Fire Department, Milford EMS and civilians assisted in the search. The investigation into this incident continues.
