Athens man accused of assaulting, threatening to kill mother

A 33-year-old Athens man is facing charges after he allegedly threatened to burn his mother alive and pushed her last week.

According to the Morning Times, Dylan Frederick Teribury was charged with one count each of terroristic threats, harassment, endangering the welfare of a child, disorderly conduct and simple assault.

Police responded to a reported domestic disturbance at around 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

Teribury is accused of pushing his mother, causing her to fall and hit her head against the house. His ex-wife and children were present at the time of the incident.

His mother told police that within the past few weeks he had threatened to kill her and burn her alive in the home.

Teribury was arrested and remanded to the Bradford County Jail on $75,000 bail.
