Lynch Bustin Elementary School is proud to announce its selection to represent the state of Pennsylvania in the 2025 National Christmas Tree and Student Ornament Display in Washington, D.C. This prestigious program, coordinated through the National Park Service and the U.S. Department of Education, invites students from across the nation to design ornaments that celebrate the unique culture and spirit of their home states.

Under the guidance of the school’s art teacher, Lynn Underwood, Lynch Bustin Elementary students were chosen to create ornaments that represent what Pennsylvania means to them — from its scenic landscapes and rich history to its symbols and traditions. Their creative designs will adorn one of the 56 trees surrounding the National Christmas Tree on the Ellipse, near the White House, during the holiday season.

In December, students and staff will travel to Washington, D.C. to see their ornaments on display as part of the America Celebrates exhibition. The display will be open to the public throughout the holiday season, allowing visitors from around the world to enjoy the students’ work.
