A 23-year-old Athens woman is facing charges after she allegedly crashed into a relative’s car intentionally on Sayre’s East Side last month.

According to court documents, Lindsey Elizabeth Harrigan has been charged with two counts of simple assault, one count of harassment, one count of accident involving damage to an attended vehicle and other related charges.

The accident occurred just before 4 p.m. on Oct. 23 on East Lockhart Street in Sayre.

Sayre Police responded to a report of a two-car accident that was allegedly intentional and escalated into a verbal altercation.

According to police, the incident started because of a disagreement over clothing. Harrigan wrote a statement admitting the crash was intentional because of that disagreement.

She is scheduled to appear before District Judge Larry Hurley on Dec. 2.
