The Athens School District in Pennsylvania will be closed for a week, beginning today, September 7th until Friday September 14th. At 4PM yesterday, the district was notified that a room at Harlan Rowe Middle School had visible signs of mold. While visual evidence was only found in Harlan Rowe the district is going to remediate every classroom in the district. School will re-open once the district has tested and confirmed that air quality tests are at acceptable levels. The district will be providing updates as the remediation progresses.
