Elmira man arrested after allegedly bringing drugs into RPH inside prosthetic leg

A homeless man from Elmira is facing charges after he allegedly brought drugs into the Robert Packer Hospital in his prosthetic leg.

According to Sayre Police, 48-year-old James David Bryan has been charged with one count of intentional possession of a controlled substance.

Police responded to the hospital at around 11 a.m. on Oct. 6 after staff reported seeing Bryan remove a bag of a crystal-like substance from his prosthetic leg and put it into his backpack.

Bryan was charged after the suspected drugs tested positive for meth.
